Strong Showing for REG at Hollywood Invitational |

The Level 4-6 girls team from Redwood Empire Gymnastics tuned up for their upcoming championship events with strong performances at the Hollywood Invitational on Oct. 24-25 in Vallejo.
The Level 5 girls took third place and were led by Elizabeth Webb, who placed fourth overall while taking third on bars, fifth on floor and sixth on vault and beam in the Middle “A” age group. Teammate Annika Schmid finished eighth on bars.
In the Middle “B” age group, Lindsay Florian finished fifth overall and was fourth on bars and fifth on floor, while Analise Silva was sixth overall after taking third on vault and bars and sixth on floor. Hadley Osman was fifth on bars and beam.
Ingrid Jungferman was second on bars, fourth on floor and fifth on beam to finish fourth overall in the Older age group, while Thea Michovsky was eighth on beam and floor, and Ariana Robertson was fifth on beam in the Younger age group.
The REG Level 6 girls also finished third and were led by Alexandra Green, who was seventh on vault and bars to place seventh overall in the Younger division. Kailey Wann was fourth on bars in the same group, while Shelby Firebaugh was fourth on beam in the Older division.
Blake Gozashti, Kira Lim and Camille Mantoani led the Level 4 girls in the Younger division, placing second, third, and fourth, respectively, in the all-around. Gozashti was also second on beam and floor and third on vault, Lim was third on beam and fifth on bars and floor, and Mantoani was fourth on vault and floor and fifth on beam.
In the same group, Gwyneth Gerlach and Kaylie Barrera placed first and fifth, respectively, on vault.
Cristina Mattis was first on vault, third on beam and fifth on bars to take fourth overall in the Middle “A” division, while Maya Perry was second on beam and Ashton Emerson was fourth on vault.
In the Middle “B” group, Jenna MAnkowski was second on vault and third on beam, while Alexandra Abraham was sixth on vault. Melissa Florian finished second on beam in the Older division.
REG will host the Zone Championships on Sunday, Nov. 8, at its facility at 434 Payran Street in Petaluma. |
